The Athletic Program of Peoples Baptist Academy is
under the authority of Athletic Director Devin Key.

A note about our sports programs from the Athletic Director:
Our Mission Statement: Teach young athletes the ideals of Christian servanthood
through commitment, competition, and conviction.
Our Goal: Use the philosophy of "Teamwork and Discipline" to develop Christian
character for a lifetime.
Sports play an influential role in American society today. Athletes can either
exalt God or exalt themselves. The PBA Athletic Department will attempt to instill
a servant's heart in our students with the ideals of commitment, competition, and
conviction.
Commitment: The key is "Winners never quit; quitters never win." God wants
us to be committed Christian servants.
Competition: Winning is not everything, but wanting to win is! An athlete who gives
you less than what he has to give is (1) telling you what he thinks of you and (2)
telling you what he thinks of himself.
Conviction: Conviction holds to the truths of the Bible. It is depicted by those who
stand for something. Anything can be accomplished as long as God is given the recognition.
Our Philosophy: If we commit to a team concept, compete at 100% of our ability, and stand
for the truths of God's Word, our sports teams at PBA will be blessed by God.
We find it an honor and privilege to work with the student athletes at PBA. It is our
desire that the athletic department will be used as a vehicle to prepare our students
to better serve the Lord. The Christian life is about being an obedient servant; and
our sports programs will be based on discipline, teamwork, commitment, and conviction.
The rules put in place for our athletes are to help instill these qualities to better
prepare them for life.
We hope our sports programs will be God honoring, educating, and fun for all participants.
