Peoples Baptist Academy is a Christian school offering excellent educational opportunities for members of Peoples Baptist Church and others from surrounding communities. Our purpose is to develop godliness of character and action in the lives of our students from pre-school to twelfth grade. We desire to be an extension of the Christian home, producing well-rounded young people equipped for Christian service. Our Statement of Faith is found on Page 7 of our Student Handbook, which can be downloaded. The Bible is an integral part of every grade’s curriculum, as we believe Proverbs 1:7 to be true: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge….”

Preschool and Kindergarten
The preschool and kindergarten programs use activity-oriented academics to provide an excellent early childhood learning atmosphere. We concentrate on reading (with a phonics emphasis), writing, and arithmetic; our students learn to read before they graduate from kindergarten.

Elementary
The elementary program is designed to help students excel in all subject areas. The reading program focuses on mastering phonics. Mathematics, grammar, spelling, science, penmanship, history, and geography are important elements of the curriculum.

Junior High
Our junior high provides motivation to develop the student’s self-confidence and stability at a time of personal transition. Students are provided with leadership, guidance,and a challenging academic program.

Senior High
The senior high offers a college preparatory education in a secure Christian environment. The SAT scores of our students far exceed the national average.

Even though we are pleased to have a part in your life, we think it is necessary that you know and understand our school policy.

Peoples Baptist Academy is a ministry of Peoples Baptist Church. Everything that we do revolves around our church. Our church dictates the school’s policies and determines its Bible-based curriculum. We are an independent, fundamental, Baptist church school. We instill and teach the Holy Scriptures, the King James Version of the Bible, to our students and adhere to and teach traditional Baptist doctrine.

Although our doors are open to others, Peoples Baptist Academy was instituted for the members of Peoples Baptist Church; therefore, those participating must adhere to the school policies as set forth by the church. It is our intention to be firm, not harsh. Although we may appear to be rigid, we believe our policies to be right and fair. Our teachers are saved, separated, active members of Peoples Baptist Church, and everything they teach is Christ honoring and Bible based.
